BSC Certificate for Export

The BSC Certificate, also referred to as the Bordereau de Suivi des Cargaisons (BSC) or Cargo Tracking Note (CTN), is a government document that shows compliance with the customs rules of some countries in Africa. The certificate has to be furnished to the customs officers when the cargo has reached the destination port. To get this certificate issued , the shipper must comply with the export pre-shipment certification requirements.

It is essential for both the importers and exporters dealing with business across countries like Madagascar and Ivory Coast to have a BSC certificate. How does it help?

  • Authenticates the goods being transported as being transported for commercial business.
  • Confirms that you have all necessary documents- commercial invoice and packing list.

Note: Procure your BSC certificate several days before the vessel arrives, so that there is no delay in custom clearance.
